Schrödinger's Rocket
ABOUT THE WORK
Ballistic rockets in the history of the Cold War were almost non-existing items, invisible in some deep silos. They were used as a threat, just for counterbalancing the amount of warheads. But were they actually real? Were they even in the silos? Another parallel — von Braun, as the author and head of American rocket engineering, was almost a hidden person for decades. First developing US military rockets, later designing space rockets that got people to the Moon, he was never truly praised and rarely shined in public — because of his previous fascist history during WW2. An interesting life story of to be and not to be.
